Panormo was the main port for transportation of the large quantities of olive and carobs produced in the area and you can still visit the old Carobmill, which is renovated and is used as a cultural center.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">There are a few luxury hotels, private villas but also apartments, studios, Airbnb and rooms to let to choose from. It is one hour to Knossos Palace and Heraklion city with the many museums, culture and it is ideal for shoppig.
