Lendas is a beautiful coastal fishing village 70km away from Heraklion airport in the southern part of Heraklion prefecture. It is a fairly organized village where you can find the beach that attracts most visitors in the area, which offers basic facilities such as umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and water sports.

During the months of May to September you might find on the beach the threatened Caretta caretta laying their eggs on the sand.

In the village you can find a couple of tavernas, cafes and restaurants where you can taste local food and Cretan mezedes and you can also find renting rooms, apartments and small family hotels for accommodation.

Around the village of Lendas you can find a couple of beautiful beaches such as Diskos beach, Petrakis/Ostria beach, Loutra fishing/Yaght port and beach, a couple of archeological sites such as the archeological site of Levin which was the sanctuary of Asclepius and thermal spring during Roman times.
